For our Prelim, we have to re-create 30 seconds - a minute long part of an already existing video. We chose to re-create the video to Ariana Grande's song: 'Focus'. We wanted to re-create this particular music video because we felt it could be quite challenging to re-create, however it is not impossible.
The part that we decided to create was towards the start of the video. In these 30 seconds, it is mainly full of head shots of Ariana Grande singing the lyrics of the song.
| The close-ups will be easy to re-create, due to the fact there is no special effects or props. |
| In this music video, a large amount of it is clearly shot in a studio set, therefore there was not many other moments in the video that we could re-create because obviously we have no access to film sets. |
| Another reason we stuck with the close-up shots is due to the fact there is a large amount of dance sequences throughout the video, which comes with a number of complications. The biggest one being the amount of time it would take for us to learn the choreography. It would also be hard to find a number of actors to dance, and also to find people who can dance. |
