'Good Ones Go' Cover By Conor Maynard

We have chosen to create a music video for Conor Maynard's cover of 'Good Ones Good' originally sang by Drake. This song would fall into the genre of RnB.

We decided to choose this song because we felt it had a lot of meaning to it and we would be able to create a music video that had a lot of depth to it. It is clearly about a girl who Drake used to be with, however he got so caught up in his new lifestyle that he has caused her to leave him. He fully acknowledges the fact that it is what is better for her as he says "you should go before you stay too long" telling her to carry on with her life because he knows that it is what will make her happy. We wanted to convey clearly the effect that he would have had on the girl, even though she chose to leave him. We also wanted to show the impact that what goes on in people's lives has on their relationships in general. We also thought it would be good to show the audience that fame and money does not always bring happiness, it also comes sacrifice and pain.

The one thing we felt would be quite challenging about this song is the fact that it could become very cringe worthy and cliché. We want to avoid all the typical factors of a music video for songs based on love, such as scenes of them argue etc. After beginning to brainstorm ideas we felt it would be quite easy for us to avoid this, due to the fact that is very clear they were not necessarily in a bad relationship. We felt the song was more about the fact that even though they are still deeply in love with each other, they're drifting apart due to everything else in their lives.
